Last Friday, December 2nd, Catalyst USA ran a team building event with the Montgomery County HR department. The final part of that event was putting together ten nice new Jamis kids bikes.

Some of the children who received bikes through the Rockville TERRIFIC program joint the Rockville Bike Advisory Committee and marched in the Rockville Memorial Day Parade Monday.Smiles and shiny bikes were in abundance.

During March and April, our volunteers collected bikes for the Rockville TERRIFIC bike giveaway. Many of them needed some amount of repair or adjustment, and during about six work sessions our volunteers got a total of 62 bikes ready for the giveaway on May 15th.

Help us clean up and do whatever minor repairs are needed on the bikes donated for the City of Rockville TERRIFIC program. Most of the repairs are minor, like replacing brake shoes or cables and doing simple adjustments.

Last Sunday RBH ran an event at the Rockville Civic Park to collect bikes for the Rockville TERRIFIC program. Around 12 kids bikes were collected, along with a few adult bikes that we'll use for other programs.

The Rockville Bike Hub was one of 10 community shops nationwide awarded a Park Tool community tool grant. Congratulations go to the whole team for the continued support and hard work to build the organization.

This is just a quick update on some upcoming events in February. First, we're having our third clinic on Monday, February 8th at 7pm at the Rockville Best Western.

The Rockville Bike Hub, in cooperation with the City of Rockville will once again be running the bike giveaway for the City of Rockville's TERRIFIC Rockville Citizen Bike Award Program.
